Photos of the month March 2020

Downtown Minneapolis

I Took This photo towards the end of the summer before construction started on 35W leading into downtown. There was a walking bridge just south of the Electric Fetus on Franklin. It has now been torn down and I have heard they will build something new. However, I don't believe it will have the same height as this one did. Many photographers would shoot from here to get a photo of downtown. Someone would always cut a hole in the fence big enough for their lens to fit through. I thought it would be interesting to add the fence as part of the photo to give it depth. #thisismycity #downtownminneapolis #minneapolis

State Capital

Minnesota State Capital at night

I was driving home from a charity event in Wisconsin on Saturday night. It's called Night for the Fight, a charity fundraiser to fight Cancer. Put on by the Wade Asher Foundation. The Asher family is one of the owners of Rockfest and Countryfest. As I was passing through Downtown St. Paul off to the right I could see the capital building and it looked like it was glowing. I just had to stop and take a photo. #thisismycity #stpaulcapital #stpaulhomes

Freak Show

Freak Show

This is a photo from a Freak Show that was going on at a biker Rally in Sioux City, Ia a few wears back.  This photo has not been altered or photo-shopped in any way. The guy on the chair which I believe did several stunts, was about to push his way off the folding chair and land palms flat on a pile of broken glass. The whole show reminded me of the side shows at the Minnesota State Fair growing up. #freakshow #minnesotastatefair

Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn Bridge

If you have never traveled to New York, hopefully it is on your bucket list. It is one of the most amazing cities on the planet. When you go, you should really take the time to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn. Its a great way to see the skyline of the city and one of the most iconic bridges in the world. The Dumbo neighborhood is the place where some many scenes in movies have been filmed. And those iconic shots you see with the Manhattan Bridge in the background.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Bruce Springsteen

This photo was taken at the Xcel Energy Center the last time The Boss was in town. If you are a fan of rock he is a must see. He played for over three hours!
