Coon Rapids, Minnesota Real Estate

Could Rapids is a northern suburb of Minneapolis and the largest city in Anoka County. On average the population is a little over 62,000 residents and the totals city area is 23.34 mi.². It became a city in 1959 and is the 13th largest city in Minnesota.

It's located on Minnesota state highways 47, 610 and 10 those are the three main roads into the city. Many residents find it to be a bit of a challenge when commuting into the city because of the amount of traffic.

The largest employers in the city are Mercy health, Honeywell Aerospace, Anoka Ramsey community College and Target.

I have mixed feelings about Coon Rapids is a real estate agent working there. It's a nice suburb but challenging to get around it times. Most of my clients are natives of the area that want to stay in Coon Rapids. Some move-in from neighboring cities of Anoka or Andover but it seems like the residents like to stay local. There's a variety of houses for sale in all price ranges but it's a great area for first-time homebuyers if you want to be on the north end of the city. You can get into a single-family home for under $200,000. That's a great opportunity for a first-time home buyer.
