Falcon Heights, Minnesota Real Estate

Falcon Heights is a suburb of St. Paul and located in Ramsey County. Falcon Heights is the home of the University of Minnesota St. Paul campus and the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Because of the popularity of the Minnesota State fair there are a lot of home buyers that move into that neighborhood specifically for that reason. But it goes well beyond that. Falcon Heights is a wonderful community with many beautiful tree-lined streets and wonderful homes.

Falcon Heights became a city in 1973 and is a total area of 2.24 mi.². It's a very small niche neighborhood that many people coming from out of town are not even aware of. Located just south of Roseville, this quaint little suburb is always a highly sought after place to live.

Most of the homes were built in the 1940s 50s and 60s. The area is completely built out and has been for decades. However if your looking for homes with that classic old world charm, falcon Heights could be a perfect choice for you. Minutes north of 94 off of Snelling Avenue it's a quick commute to downtown St. Paul or into Minneapolis. The location is fantastic for a lot of people that work on the north side of the Twin Cities area.

As a real estate agent I love selling homes in Falcon Heights for two reasons. The first one is the architecture of the homes. They're very similar to the homes in South Minneapolis around the lakes. Lots of wide doorframes, 12 inch molding as well as built-ins. As I've mentioned above it's a very quiet small community which adds charm. The other piece is growing up in Minnesota, the Minnesota State fair is a huge deal for a lot of us. There's something cool about living so close to the fairgrounds.
