Maple Grove, Minnesota Real Estate

Maple Grove is located in Hennepin County in the far north west corner of the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. As of 2010 it had over 61,000 residents and is still been growing rapidly ever cents. It's Minnesota's eighth largest cities and it serves as the cultural medical and retail center of the Northwest region of the cities. Retail has really expanded in Maple Grove over the last five years as you head up to Rogers Minnesota. That is the hub for most people that travel north on the weekends to their cabins. Maple Grove was incorporated in 1954 and has a size of 35.3 mi.². The ZIP Codes are 55311 and 55369.

The shops at Arbor Lakes have large companies such as Pottery Barn, Brooks Brothers Williams-Sonoma, national camber exchange world market and PF Chang's just to name a few.

Many home buyers choose Maple Grove because of its proximity to the city. You're looking at about a 35 minute drive to downtown Minneapolis with several different routes including 94, 694 and 494. Many home buyers like the area as well because it cuts off a huge commute when they're traveling to the north in the summer. Owning lakefront property is still a very big deal in Minnesota so a lot of people want to minimize the drive is much as they can.

There continues to be plenty of new construction Maple Grove because there's still a lot of land available. You can find brand-new construction along with existing construction and all shapes, sizes and price ranges.

One of the several things I've seen as a real estate agent selling homes in Maple Grove, is how much that city has grown in the last 10 years. I believe a lot of it has to do with the fact that so many people drive up 94 to 101 to go up north. Many of my clients I've worked with that purchase Maple Grove tell me the three things they like best about it are, the extensive amount of shopping and retail there is, the location to get up north and the newer construction homes. I've had several clients that have started looking in Plymouth and ended up in Maple Grove which is right next door because of the variety in the newer construction homes.
