Anoka Minnesota Real Estate

The city of Anoka is a ring suburb located on the north side Minneapolis-St. Paul. The two rivers through it are the Rum and Mississippi. Both played little part in the development of the city. Five major fires between 18 5518 84 really slow down the development of the city of Anoka. For a long time is known for its sawmills. Some of Anoka's claim to fame is it was the first city in the United States to be put on the Halloween celebration. That has now turned into part of the identity of the city of Anoka.

Anoka has all types of homes for sale the family homes townhomes as well as condominiums. Some acreage properties can still be found as well in the Northwestern area. Housing prices start around hundred thousand dollars and go from there. You can find older homes character or bring new construction. Anoka has a wide variety to choose from.

My perspective is a real estate agent who works in Anoka is that majority of my clients that are moving in, like the smaller town feel but they like to be closer to their drive up north. Many of them own cabins so it cuts sometimes a 45 minute to an hour drive when they're coming from the south western suburbs. Anoka does have a very quaint downtown area and lots of shopping which is another big draw. But the big thing I hear from most of the buyers aside from just liking the area is the ease to get up north.
