White Bear Lake, Minnesota Real Estate
White Bear Lake is located in Ramsey County straight up 35E from St. Paul. It's the city where just north, 35W and 35E split going south. 35W goes to Minneapolis and 35E goes to St. Paul.
The main attraction is White Bear Lake itself. A beautiful lake with lots of lakeshore, walking paths and wonderful real estate. The total size of white Bear Lake is 2427 acres. Many home buyers like this area because of the ease of getting to Minneapolis or St. Paul in a commute. Home prices are very reasonable and you can find all shapes, sizes and styles of homes. Prices start around $150,000 and go up from there. Other areas home buyers look when looking in White Bear Lake are Wyoming, Vadnais Heights and Circle Pines.
Selling real estate in White Bear Lake has always been interesting because so many of the people who lived there, want to stay in White Bear Lake. The lake is obviously a big draw to the area but there is a price point to consider. Like Hugo, a lot of the home buyers I've taken to white bear are looking for more for their money over a suburb like Roseville that's closer in. The drive is pretty quick down 35 to St. Paul and the downtown area is really cute. It does still have a smaller town feel to it along with all of the neighborhoods being very similar. Meaning the home prices are very consistent within each neighborhood. You don't have a $500,000 house next to a $200,000 house.
