Little Canada, MN
Little Canada, Minnesota Real Estate
Will Canada is located in Ramsey County and is an inner ring suburb of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. It's one of those small communities like falcon Heights that gets passed over from time to time when people are looking to purchase a home. The only reason is many don't know about it. The interesting thing about Little Canada is even though most of the homes were built in the 50s and 60s there still have been over the last decade a few smaller pockets that have enabled buyers to build new construction homes.
The cities total landmass is 4.48 mi.² and has a population of around 10,000 people. The main reason people buy homes in Little Canada is a similar reason this falcon Heights. They love the community and the proximity to downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. Plus you're very close to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds which is a very big draw for a lot of people.
The city does have Canadian ties including its official symbol which is an initial LC on a white fleur-de-lis with a red Mapleleaf background. The flag of Canada is displayed at the Council chambers and it's a sister city to thunder Bay Ontario.
As a real estate agent serving Little Canada, it took me a while to have it on my radar. It's a much smaller community than Maplewood and Roseville. So not that many homes come up for sale. It's very similar to me with Mendota Heights. That suburb is farther south sandwiched between Bloomington and Inver Grove Heights. It's a wonderful small community with very quiet subdivisions. The one unique thing about Little Canada is there are still a few newer homes. In the late 90s and early 2000's there were some lots that were opened up to be built on. That makes this area unique over what I've seen in neighboring communities. My clients like this area because it's right off O'Connor Road 36 which will take you out towards Stillwater to the east or into Minneapolis to the West. So many like to look here because of the commute.
