Don't get caught in the trap of thinking that there's only one perfect home for you. That's a huge mistake so many home buyers make. I'm here to tell you that's simply not true. Think of buying a home and entering the real estate market like swimming in a really cold pool. Some of the swimmers have been in the water for a while and are used to the temperature. Other swimmers like yourself just entering the pool will take a while to get used to the temperature. It's the same thing when buying a home.
When you start your home search you have to keep in mind that there are a lot of other buyers looking for a home just like you that have seen everything that's already on the market. When they find their "perfect home", they are ready to act. You have to give yourself time to get acclimated to the real estate market. That's the only way you will realize what the "perfect home" is for you.
When a home that you love sells quickly, it's not always an indication of how hot the real estate market is. In some cases it's the perfect home for a buyer who is been looking for a while. I tell all of my clients, for every home that sells another one pops up in its place. You have to be flexible and patient. By taking your time and doing your due diligence, you will end up with the perfect home for you and your family.
