Champlin is located in the northwest corner of the Minneapolis-St. Paul area right up Highway 169 in Hennepin County. The total size of Champlin is 8.73 mi.², it was incorporated in 1971 and is estimated to have 23,894 residents. The city is located along the Mississippi River and is surrounded by the cities of Brooklyn Park Anoka Maple Grove and could Rapids. 18 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis.

The main school district is Anoka Hennepin County Independent school District number 11 with four primary schools and Champlin Park high school. Many homebuyers like Champlin because working on the west side of the city they can take a direct route to and from work down Highway 169 to all of the west suburbs. There are plenty of retail shops and parks.

The majority of the homes were built in the 70s and 80s but you can find some new construction to this day. The homes come in all shapes, sizes and price ranges to suit your needs can find single-family homes, townhomes as well as condominiums.

Selling homes in Champlin is easy because of its popularity. It seems like it always has a smaller amount of homes for sale because it's a little bit smaller of the community so the demand is always high. In my experience as a Realtor most of my clients who purchased in Champlin do so because they work in the northern side of town but don't want to drive the extra 10 minutes to Anoka. Champlin is located just north of 610 on 169 so for many it's a much quicker commute to the west suburbs than to drive a little bit further. Plus it has some newer construction so it again gives buyers a lot more choices in types and styles of homes.
