The history goes all the way back to the mid-1800s and was mostly just a farming community. My experience as a real estate agent working with buyers and sellers in Apple Valley is that many that live there, have grown up there. 20 years ago the only thing on the corner of Cedar Avenue and County Road 42 was a Burger King. Now they have a Walmart, SuperTarget, Best Buy and every other possible shop and restaurant you can think of. Many of the buyers I have helped in Apple Valley chose the location because of Cedar Avenue and its proximity to downtown. I've always liked Apple Valley because of the variety of homes that are for sale and that you can still get really good homes at good prices.
